Team Sask qualifies for the National Finals, and our girls take gold!
Team Sask 17U girls had a perfect weekend in Saskatoon, securing three round-robin wins, earning them a bye directly to the semi-finals and a spot at the National Finals (the top four teams qualified). Then Sunday they came out strong vs Renegades Gold in the semi and again in the gold medal game vs Renegades Black.
Meanwhile, our boys kicked off the weekend with an impressive display, securing two victories on Friday. With a 2-1 record after the round-robin matches, they too earned a bye to the semi-finals and secured their spot at the National Finals. Despite strong efforts on Sunday, they fell short to Tsunami in the semi-final and had a narrow miss with Pacific Storm in the bronze medal game ending the weekend in 4th.

17U Western Conference Individual Awards
Congratulations to three of our Team Sask athletes on their individual awards! Saskatoon’s Leo Boutin, Pacific Storm’s Natalia Blazevic, and Pacific Storm’s Riley Milne all were named to the All-Star Team for their exceptional performances with Team Sask this season. Riley also received an award for the Regular Season Top Goal Scorer.

A heartfelt thank you to all the incredible volunteers, club members, parents, and pool/event staff who made this past weekend’s hosting of the 17U Westerns a success! Your dedication and hard work behind the scenes ensured that the event ran smoothly and left a lasting impression on all participants, coaches, and officials.
A special shout-out to Jen and Fern for their exceptional efforts with the hospitality room and Discover Saskatoon, adding that extra touch of warmth and welcome to the event. Kristen and the Shaw Centre staff also deserve immense gratitude for their time spent preparing in the months before to ensure that every detail was perfect. We also want to extend our appreciation to Shelly for her leadership in organizing our Minor Officials, and to ALL the volunteers who graciously stepped up to fill the numerous Minor Official spots.
Your collective passion and commitment truly made this event one to remember!
